16/05/06 Exams and Flickr Gamma Launches

Just a very quick post.
- My favourite photo sharing site, Flickr has had a major facelift this evening and gone from Beta to Gamma! Hurrah! long needed. It’s one of the few services I pay an annual subscription for. Yes it’s that good!
- Today’s exam went well. I’m pleased. Study has now started on ‘Digital Sound Processing’ for Thursday.

I’m a non-techie and I have heard all this beta talk and such, ehm what does it mean?
hey redmum.
A beta product is normally pre-release and predominently free to use as the developers want it tested by a mass of users before charging. i.e. signup but be aware we may lose your data, etc…
Flickr have gone to gamma, i think as a joke/PRspin as they’ve been in beta for ages and have gone another step before release. They’ve pretty much made it up.
Thanks for visiting! I’ve been to our blog a number of times!
