26/08/06 Announcing FindMeACamper.com

I’ve returned from my trip to New Zealand for one week now. We had a great time, but AK and myself noticed a niche available to take advantage of. Having done considerable research before we left we knew of 6 camper rental companies. Over there we spotted 16. On return we found 61!

We’ve forked ByteSurgery’s “FindMeA” software also running FindMeATent.com and FindMeAGPS.com to create FindMeACamper.com.

Within a 5 day period since our return we have created an online specs database containing all 239 campers available with sortable, searchable listings.

On a side note: I take-off for Reuters/London on Wednesday, and plan to attend the London Geek Dinner before work starts on Monday.

You know that findmeatent.com displays a message saying the domain expired on August 27th… 2007 (funny it says it expireD next year)

yep thanks Ken. I noticed that this morning. I have paid for the domain again, but it’s still not pointing back where it should be! Well spotted though.
