03/03/07 Irish Blog Awards In Second Life
I took a quick peek at Second Life just before the Irish Blog Awards started. I was really impressed.
Travelling to St Stephen’s Green in the Dublin Sim I came across a marquee pitched on the side of the park with a bustling bar, stage, dance floor and band - complete with all the gestures needed for a good awards night. I stood on the stage a while, pretended I was nominated for an award, took a few photos, then left for town.
I’m heading to ‘Fire’ for dinner first - so I hope to catch all you guys for the afters. Here’s my photos from the awards (virtual awards on a virtual camera that is!) -

Laptops with Irish Blogs open on them at the bar (I drank the first champagne of the night!).

Fair play! I still can’t get past the training world! LOL!
Pity you didn’t stop to say hello. I own Dublin in Second Life and was pleased to run the Blog Awards ceremony from there. Did you get to hear the Live Music we put on? Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
