23/05/07 Google Infinity +1
LONDON, UK - When I signed up for Gmail a few years ago, compared to my hotmail address, I thought I would never fill my 2GB quota, ever. Today I did.
You are currently using 2009 MB (70%) of your 2855 MB.
How broadband has changed things! 2GB of text is a lot of reading and would probably have taken since 2003 to download on dial-up. As you may of noticed above, I actually have 2855MB available, this thanks to infinity+1 concept of a continuously increasing limit since April 1st 2006.
Over the last 2 weeks I have moved an entire business over to “Google Apps for Your Domain”. It has been interesting watch people transition from outlook to a web-based interface. So far they like it.
UPDATE: There’s some attachments in there obviously, but it’s still 22,601 emails since Sept 2004! Imagine getting that many letters through the door! I suspect my work account has over 6,000 in 8 months working there!

Is it really all text?!! If so that’s an insane amount of email. I’d guess most of it is attachments in actual fact. Which brings me to a gmail feature request: Let me delete an attachment but keep the mail.
ok ok… so it’s attachments too. (and some biggies probably). 22,601 emails since September 2004.
Imagine getting that many letters through the postbox in 2.5 years!!
We’ve moved the office email over to Google Apps as well, figure it’s a money saver in the long run, handy for out-of-office access, I reckon gradually we’ll incorporate the rest. I’m going to be moving KilkennyMusic.com and Devious Theatre over to it as well full on, handy for us all when those groups don’t work in an office environment.
When you say “full-on” I presume you still point the A records for the website to your own server?
Sorry, yes most certainly.
