28/05/07 Malware An Introduction: I’ve Been Published
DUBLIN, IRELAND - As part of my B.Eng in Digital Media I wrote a case-study for ‘Network Security & System Administration’ on Malware & the Zotob Worm. As I got a good grade, rather than it sit on my hard-disk I published it to my blog hoping it may be useful for someone. Last summer I got an email while traveling in New Zealand from the Indian ICFAI University Press who publish books sold at a discount normally ranging from 15% - 50 % to academic institutions putting any profits back into education.
We at ICFAI seek your permission to reprint an article “A Case Study on Malware and the Zotob Worm” and would be highly indebted to you if you grant us the reprint permission.
I sent a courtesy agreement, shrugged it off as spam and thought nothing of it. Almost one year later today, a book-shaped registered mail package arrived from Hyperbad in India at my door in Ireland. Wrapped in a patterned eastern cloth out fell the book, and I’m chapter 7!
Chuffed!

That’s pretty cool to be published. Congrats.
Well done Robin! That must put a spring in your step today.
