20/06/07 It’s good to feel wanted.
LONDON, UK - Today over lunch I fielded my first ‘headhunter’ call, a recruitment company looking for me to move to Ireland to do contract consulting in PHP & Linux. I explained politely that I was a full-time permanent employee and not available for contracting.
The recruiter had all my details, had done their research and even asked if I had anyone in my network who could do it. I promptly received the job application in my personal mail inbox with a request to forward. I’m feeling nice, so if you’d like the contact I have, drop a comment below.
It feels good to know you’re a valuable asset in demand *grins*.

Very cool! I wonder if there’s anyone I know interested in that kinda thing… I might come back to you with someone..
Congrats, wouldn’t mind being headhunted myself. So what is a problem analyist?
My guess is he analyses problems. Make sure your boss knows how much in demand you are
Will - Problem Analyst role means I’m in service management as part of the ITIL process http://www.itil.co.uk/ of problem management. We take all service affecting issues in the EMEA Data Centres and ‘problem manage’ them through to resolution to avoid recurrence where possible. This normally means conversing with development, operations & those accountable for the systems.
Neil - work treat me well. I’m on a graduate intake and getting large quantities of 1 on 1 time, training, mentoring and other resources. http://about.reuters.com/careers/Career%20Categories/graduate_landing.html
