20/06/07 The First TechGradBeers: London

LONDON, UK - What a storming night. 30 grads from 7 companies turned up to share conversations of their roles, companies, and aspirations. I heard stories from Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, CitiGroup, Sun Microsystems, Reuters, PA consulting, JP Morgan & Goldman Sachs. See review post.

The next iteration is already playing on my mind. We’ll be targeting 50 grads to show up and a date has been provisionally set for Thursday July 19th. Before this happens I need some advice on event format and to find sponsorship for the bar tab. Don’t tell me access to 50 future managers of large London corporations in the same room at the same time isn’t worth £500 a month.

I’ll be contacting a few people directly for the advice I need. I’m looking for suggestions along the lines I think we need an open panel discussion on an emotive topic. Furthering this, I’d like a guest to appear next time - someone everybody would like to speak to over drinks. Please post advice & suggestions below.
