23/07/07 Living In The Future But Winging It
LONDON, UK - I followed a random link in a tweet from James. Suddenly something in Adam Green’s “Group Therapy” post clicked.
Like most entrepreneurs, I live in the future. I literally spend hours each day projecting myself into a time when some code will be done or some funding event will occur. I then move around in that future world and see what problems I can discover that I need to address in order to get there. [This can] cut you off from the world and people around you.
I love finding people with the same problems(?) as me. I regularly get berated for holding a deep dive into planning details for anything I feel responsibility towards.
I do this as I believe it’s about having the comfort of preparedness of a set of ready generic solutions that allows you to wing anything by conjoining these pre-thought-through plans. *and breath*.
