05/12/07 Into The East
LONDON, UK - The apartment has never looked so empty! There’s no going back now, and why would I want to! Come January I will fly “Into The East” which feels as much an adventure to me as Tito & Ossie had. While I won’t be keeping a horse in my apartment, I may end up being served one! Yep - I’m off to Asia (Singapore) to work with our Chief Asian Enterprise Architect for six months. Accommodation is confirmed and I’ll be living next to Orchard Road from Jan 4th 2007.
Orchard Road: Singapore’s Champs-Élysees stretches 2.5 kilometres long and is said to have the largest concentration of shopping malls worldwide.
Those who follow me on Dopplr may have noticed I’m not flying direct! Nope, on Friday I leave London and I’m booked for Dublin, Chicago, Denver, Vail (Skiing in the Colorado Rockies), Denver, Chicago, Dublin, London, Singapore. I cannot wait!

Please Note: I will no longer be available on my UK mobile number from Friday, but you all have my Skype right?

Exciting stuff Robin and I have to admit a pang of jealousy. Cork is about the most… eh.. exotic place I’ve ever worked ;-p
Best of luck mate, sounds fantastic.

What do you actually do? I never figured it out.

Robin, down in Little India, in the food court there is a guy who makes the best chicken or mutton Biryani known to man. He is easy to find, go to the entrance next to the subway, and look for the biggest queue. Sometimes he closes early because he runs out :-) He only sells Biryani … Well worth it . Have fun in Singapore, and if you get a chance check out Malaysia. Justin
@Justin - nice one!
just a couple hours to go now!
