21/02/08 Team Geared Up Blog: Gear Tracker Launched

SINGAPORE - You know, it’s fantastic when a virtually created entity gets a physical presence. The long-term blog I founded, Team Geared Up has just gone from leaps to bounds thanks to the hard efforts of all the writers. This year we’re up for “Best Irish Sports & Recreation Blog“. I’ve spent some time looking over our Flickr Pool for photos and pulled out the ones in this post to show some of our kit around & about at Irish events.

The reason for the post is to announce the new user-platform with Single-Sign-On (SSO) for all the subdomains that’s been launched this week. It lets us do really cool things now we couldn’t do before totally integrated with the blog and reader accounts. The first of which is a Gear Tracker at gear.teamgearedup.com. It will eventually (once we get some user-data into it) display leader-boards of the most loved outdoor brands and equipment models. Fingers crossed.
