20/06/08 Apps For Yourself For Everyone

CHICAGO, UNITED STATES - Yesterday I wanted to organize the world’s rescue operations. Today I want to get back to my roots and organise my own team’s rescue operations. We can never forget to build things for ourselves - then at least we have one customer.

Facebook - started as a tool to help keep a college class connected. Then it helped keep their school connected, then it expanded to their college. Then other people from other colleges wanted accounts. Then everybody wanted an account. Never ever forget Facebook was designed for, and started by, the dream of just building a small tool for a single group of friends. Never forget that.
