Robin,

This is a great idea. I can see from the feedback already received that it's been worthwhile. Plus it looks like you've received a good bit of exposure for D4H just by publishing this application. I wish I'd thought of that!

The next application I write will definitely be published. The way I see it, it provides useful feedback for the author and acts as a great reference to others who also want to apply. It's a win-win situation.

The best of luck with your application, it'll take some beating.

[...] Also, Thank you to Robin Blandford. I think he was the only one to put his own answers to the Seedcamp application on his blog to get some feedback from his readers.
Here is the thing. I still don't know exactly what critical problem you are actually solving or why it is groundbreaking:
ie.
- 90% of rescue attempts lose 30 mins mobilising the right team
- 80% of all rescues fail when over 24hours old
- 80% of all rescue teams have no IT support, but 100% of them have phones.

Our Value Delivery System is unique in 5 ways that matter

- We use the principles of x, y, z of data analytics to gather data relevant to each situation. This is considerably less expensive, and more accurate than "enterprise" or "traditional approaches".

- We create "experts" that can be rated, contacted and used across events and are on On Tap resource for better decision making;

- We leverage learning across the 5 key learning areas (search, injury, contact, routing, etc.) for each kind of rescue situation

- etc.

The Question That Should Have Been Asked?

Why are you doing this? The answer, because this matters. We have a purpose and our purpose is to to make information actionable in a manner that has a real social impact.

I meant to add "otherwise, it's brilliant!"as I think it's very impressive and should blow the socks off the Seedcamp judges! But then your mother would say that, wouldn't she? LOL

You wanted editing? Here are a few suggestions for what they're worth:

...What are you creating? "members profiles" should read as *member* profiles or *members' profiles (I think)*

...What specifically is your target market? "most emergency responses are *carried out* or *staffed* by volunteers"

...What gives you an unfair advantage? "Development of a *competitive* product. *How often do you find a developer with insider knowledge?*'

...Why is this team the right one? "Developers required" sounds good to me. You don't want to sound 'needy'

...To date what specific progress? "if the addition of a feature *doesn't* make a decision better

...What is the single largest? "SAR *(Search and Rescue)* Technology" - other people don't necessarily know what SAR stands for

..What about your business are you most uncertain about? (tut!tut! Seedcamp - that should read "what *aspect* of your business")... now where was I? "teams will be provided *with* tools to help cover"

...What fact would make the most difference? "it has moved from a nice tool, to a *necessary* tool"

...What do you hope to get out of Seedcamp? "It is an invaluable *opportunity* "A once-off *chance* to"

...What is your favourite movie? "How could *I* say anything but" - it's YOUR opinion, not the team's

...What question do you wish we had asked? *What aspect of your business do you enjoy the most?* Answer: *entrepreneurial, innovative*???

Robin - these are only suggestions (dump them at your peril). I accept credit cards ;-)

Hi R
You use the term SAR without an explanation that its 'Search And Rescue'. Readers may not be that savy. J
